David Teixeira Partner in Charge of Planning at KAIZEN Foodservice Planning and Design Inc. He brings extensive operational experience in institutional settings to our consulting team. David has worked directly in food production and service delivery at both the University Health Network (formally the Toronto Hospital) and Bridgepoint Health (formally the Riverdale Hospital), Toronto’s Sutton Place Hotel and Silverstein’s Bakery. David has a Bachelors degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Ryerson Polytechnic University.
David takes a hands-on approach to planning and design projects. His methods of caring for client’s needs large and small, has led to a reputation within the industry for being thorough, precise and progressive. David helps clients balance creativity with budgetary realities through detailed analysis of space requirements and capital cost estimates. He also provides our team with knowledge relating to sustainable and green equipment planning solutions.
David has managed the food service designs for University Health Network [formerly Toronto General Hospital] and the Maplehurst Cook Chill Central Production Facility which supports correctional facilities throughout Southern Ontario. Each of these projects received the Food Service Consultant’s International Award for Excellence In Design. Other notable clients have included: Hospital for Sick Children, Children’s Hospital of Ireland, Princeton University Medical Centre, Lee Memorial Health System and Niagara Health System.
David also have extensive experience in Public Private Partnership efforts having participated in 15 such projects in both compliance and design rolls over the past five years for health care and other institutional sectors. email David Teixeira
